About Me. Executive Producer.

Greetings!

My name is Chris Peralta, and I am a TV news manager. I am currently a newsroom manager with ABC NewsOne, the affiliate and client services division of ABC News. Previously, I was an executive producer at News4 Nashville in Nashville, Tennessee. I have also worked as a news producer at CBS3 Eyewitness News in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and at WTVR CBS 6 in Richmond, Virginia. I have a Master of Arts in Mass Communication, a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunication with a specialization in news, and a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Political Science, all from the University of Florida.

As an executive producer, my responsibilities have included overseeing a team of news producers and several newscasts, ensuring breaking news is covered appropriately, reviewing rundowns for story pacing and flow, checking scripts and graphics, and ensuring proper showcasing. I have also built schedules and filled-in as a producer when needed.

I have been honored with two regional Emmy awards. Both were for newscasts I co-produced as a morning producer at WTVR, one in 2015, one in 2016.

Apart from my work as a news producer, I am also experienced in video editing. I am familiar with Adobe Premiere Pro CS6, and Avid MediaCentral and Media Composer. I am also familiar with several other programs of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, After Effects, and Audition. I also have experience shooting video. Samples of my work are also available here.

When I am not in the newsroom, I spend my time running, playing the piano, and taking pictures. Samples of my photography are available here.
